May be the clue should have been "Salvatore Dali"? It looks like MOUSTACHIOED from here...

But it would be hard for one of the Distaff Side to unscramble, inasmuch as it is MAN PATTER !

You'll have to tell us about the Tampa rent for your new apartment.

Look at that bling! That sure is some SWANK MICA you're sporting there.

It could not be anything else. Is "morningtide" too obscure for this game?

Nice word. Too obscure? It shouldn't be, but maybe we'll want to widen our horizons a little.

(Is "eventide" a phonetic redundancy?)

CHARM NOISE STREAM - two upper-case words

[Edit - for those too young to know Oklahoma! - the unscrambled word is ISINGLASS. OK?]

Funny, but I mistakenly thought isinglass had only one 's' at the end.

Oscar Hammerstein indicates that fish bladders may be a bit RISQUE TO US.

Change the second U to a B and make SOBRIQUETS...

Wiki differentiates between isinglass the fish bladder and isinglass the mineral, a transparent mineral.

...or leave the O out completely and make SEQUITURS, no? (Does Eastpondian insert an O before the U, as in honour, to make it "sequitours"? I didn't think so.)

'Sequitur' is Latin for "it follows". So far as I know it is never used in English outside the phrase 'non sequitur', "it does not follow", so it wouldn't really be a valid answer even if spelled correctly. Wink

Ah yes, I remember the ill-fated MacLeopard sandwich. It wasn't really the political incorrectness that did it in. People just didn't want their burgers spotted and furry. Smile

Immune to all insults - what a thick skin that must involve - PACHYDERM, you might say.

(can't spell worth a dam today - back as soon as I rework this)

That's better. All these animals must have come over on the
