I am wishing all Americans a HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

I was thinking...how would the world be different if the American hadn't gained their independence? Think of all that has happened since then. Besides the fact that we'd have much better beer here, what else would have changed? Wouldn't that make a fascinating book?

Kalleh, there are lots of great books about alternative histories. Try reading some Harry Turtledove . . .

There is one by him and Richard Dreyfus called _The Two Georges_ about us not winning the Revolution. My hubby has read it and didn't like it much, but he's liked many of Turtledove's other works.
