Breitbart is flipping out about it.

This is what the university actually says, and it is completely reasonable:

They're just talking about literacy privilege.

I don't read Breitbart, nor do I plan to, so I am not sure what the flipping out is about. That seems very reasonable to me - the descriptivist perspective.

"University of Washington Declares Proper Grammar Is Racist" is the headline on Breitbart and a few other sites have similar headlines. The articles are let's say a bit misleading.

I'd say so. Breitbart is about as truthful as our President.
