Well, we didn't get a lot of participation this time, but here is what we've got . . .

KAREZZA

  • A. a Lebanese dish containing ground lamb, bulgar wheat, and garlic, usually served with cucumber

  • B. an exquisitely smooth creamy dessert served in northern Italy, so-called because of the way it "caresses" your mouth on the way down. (It was first prepared by Russian Chef Maxim Ionikh, of the Hotel Accademia in Milan, which is the reason it starts with a "K" rather than a "C.")

  • C. the sound made by a carousel horse going up and down

  • D. RetroClassic wall tile, produced to emulate the classic and distinctive appearance of hand made, irregular edged tiles

  • E. prolonged coitus in which ejaculation of sperm is deliberately withheld

  • F. a type of carol, sung in parts of Finland and Sweden

  • G. a dish popular in northern Italian trattorias, composed of chicken, paprika, garlic risotto and goat cheese

  • H. the bridle strap for a Bactrian camel

I'm on a diet, so I'm not going to choose the food. They sound too much alike anyway. I don't sing, so carols are out. The tiles are tempting...

Nah... (BLUSH)... I'll take E. Sounds like it would be more fun for me than he, but... Red Face Eek

Sure - terazzo on the floor, Karezza on the walls, why not? Made by Armstrong. That makes it D, I think.

(Pursuant to the principle that when several people have been drawn to create the same daffynition, they must all be wrong. I shall be mortified if it really _is_ a food. I do like G.)

Well, I've been been going back and forth between A and G, but I guess now it's time to get off the fence. Karezza looks Italian to me, probably because of the double z, so I'll pick G.

Your wish is my command, Oh Great Asa!

I knew this would be a fun one! Here's the results:

    Karezza -

  • A. a Lebanese dish containing ground lamb, bulgar wheat, and garlic, usually served with cucumber
    created by jerry

  • B. an exquisitely smooth creamy dessert served in northern Italy, so-called because of the way it "caresses" your mouth on the way down. (It was first prepared by Russian Chef Maxim Ionikh, of the Hotel Accademia in Milan, which is the reason it starts with a "K" rather than a "C.")
    concocted by hab

  • C. the sound made by a carousel horse going up and down squeaked out by myself, CW

  • D. RetroClassic wall tile, produced to emulate the classic and distinctive appearance of hand made, irregular edged tiles placed by kalleh chosen by Haberdasher

  • E. prolonged coitus in which ejaculation of sperm is deliberately withheld
the real thing - and, I would imagine, very difficult to fake known by Jo, Asa and Arnie - go figure!

  • F. a type of carol, sung in parts of Finland and Sweden composed by arnie chosen by Kalleh and Jerry

  • G. a dish popular in northern Italian trattorias, composed of chicken, paprika, garlic risotto and goat cheese served up by jo chosen by Tinman

  • H. the bridle strap for a Bactrian camel
    suggested by my dear husband

I'm so sorry, Asa, but I have completely lost your suggested definition. I have no idea where it is!

Was it sent by PM? If the originator deletes the PM it is deleted also from the receiver's PM list. Have you been doing some housekeeping, Asa? Something similar happened to me when I last ran the game, but luckily I still had the E-mail advice.

Precisely the case, arnie. My daffynition was similar to another, but featured spiced sheep's eyeballs as well.

Well, I guess I won't find any karezza on the menu. Funny, CW, that you would know such a word.

Not only do I never fool Arnie when I host this game, but Arnie always seems to fool me with his great daffynitions! Mad

Good word, CW, though I see Tinman's point! Razz

Anyone up for the next word? Tinman, you haven't done it in awhile, have you? How about it?

Honestly, I was just browsing through dictionaries looking for K words because they always drive me nuts in the "6 letters" game! I hadn't heard the word before then . . . but a few people on the board obviously know about karezza! I wanna go to their parties!

Don't you think Shu would mind?

There are a lot of people who have never done it who would probably like to do it if they were asked by the right person.

And there are people who have never hosted The Bluffing Game. So whadayasay, how about someone new throwing out a word to confuse us?
