It's a radioactive cretacious brewer's device for filling realtors with small bits of rock. Uhh, maybe not. Probably a funny electronic instrument. Let's try 4.

For me, it's a toss-up, so I'm voting for Number Two.

I'm yelling FORE for FOUR. Whatever for? For the heck of it. That's the answer that's foremost in my mind, nothing else being forthcoming. And that, ladies and gents, is how the weird front is in Iowa today.

FOUR-score and six years ago...electricity had hardly just been invented, which makes it even more impressive. And Theremin lies the rub! All the others are subtle attempts to exploit our gullibility with hints of therapy, theorem, the remains, the ReMax, and stuff like that - shame on us! Wink.

CW, as it turns out, I found this a very intriguing word. I almost wish we would have posted about it, instead of bluffing about it. Here is the link where I first found it, and here are two links that Hab sent me.

Wikipedia has an article on it, which includes a list of performers who have used it. The first sentence starts out "The theremin or thereminvox (originally pronounced [teremiːn] but often anglicized as [ˈθɛɹəmɪn] [1]) is one of the earliest fully electronic musical instruments. Invented in 1919 by Russian Lev Sergeivitch Termen (also Termin, later gallicized to Léon Theremin), ... ."

The pronunciation of the name of the instrument was anglicized but the name of the inventor was gallicized? Can someone explain?
