Hab,
I threw away my scribbling papers, and I don't even remember the word.. and can't even unscramble it ...! Yikes! All I can get is "polecat snot", and I'm pretty sure I didn't mean that. Another one, spelled correctly, is coming up.

and the poisoned-arrow maker said TRY INEES

Did you know that COTTON PALES INN makes CONSTANTINOPLE? But that's too far off to be what you had in mind with our now-lost COTTON PALES.

Edit: Got it. You meant PENTACOSTAL but you gave us two Os instead of two As. 'Swonderful what a couple of days not-thinking of a problem, plus a fresh review of the data, will do for your mental clarity :-)

I'm not sure anyone other than Brits and Harry Potter fans will think of SNOGGING !

[Edit: Apologies. Also Austin Powers fans, I find. One of which I am clearly not.]

In certain more refined circles it's referred to as SOUL ACTION .

I know the word thanks to a book by Louise Rennison called "Angus, Thongs and Full-frontal Snogging" which is a delightful read. The sequel is something about being the girlfriend of a sex god.

Books can teach us so much! I bet many young people today know what it takes to TRANSFIGURE because of Harry Potter!

I don't know how to even find out about
DOPEY CAN LICE . . . guess I'll look it up.
