I love that show! It runs in the family. My Dad played the Pirate King in a small production in 1944; I played second fiddle in the orchestra of a small production in 1968, and my son Jim was one of the pirates in the chorus in a high school production in 1992. As you can see, we're due for another performer in about 8 years, but as the next generation has not yet appeared on the horizon, perhaps the torch will have to be passed to one of my nephews' families. As Shu knows, it's my favorite of the G&S's, and that's saying a lot because I love them all! My favorite, though, has to be the "Major-General's Song."
