I was watching a NASCAR race -- don't ask me why -- and noticed the illiterates commenting on the race constantly use "that" where most would use "a" or "the" or nothing to refer to various aspects of the contest. For example, everything is "that three car" or "that vrew chief" or "that first caution". I believe most people would find another term, such as "the three" or just "number thrree". Any comments?

I don't know, Proof. Maybe I'd have to hear it because what you wrote seemed pretty normal to me.
