It hangs above my Granddaughter's crib and has stars and moons and moves with the breeze and a crank of a key. They call it a "mobile", but how is the word pronounced?

Well, it is also pronounced Mo-b(schwa)l!

A device of this sort in a trailer located in the capital of Alabama would be a MO-b(schwa)l in a MO-BILE home in mo-BEEL.
