I am of the opinion that much of language is euphemism and its opposite, dysphemism. Some words that used to be euphemisms are "dis-ease" and "enemy" (from "in-amicus")....

I've never heard of "dysphemism" before. Indeed, it gets the squiggly red line when I post it. I actually thought the video was a little whitewashed. There are a lot of political dysphemisms out there too....
