Song Parodies?
I do love me a good song parody. Probably not a good idea for us, as they sting the best when they're political. [But then-- so do Double Dactyls...]

Anyway, just had to pass along this one, encountered at a blog I visit regularly. Its writer was inspired by you-know-who's daily schedule, which is posted regularly by Politico.

I just while away the hours
A-tweetin’ in my tower,
Consulting with TV.
I don’t care for cogitating,
I just sit here agitating
While I’m watching Hannity.

Think I’ll order up some burgers
And tweet out some diverters
From the latest breaking news
’bout crimes I’ve perpetrated
And the folks I’ve terminated
For developing a clue.

Oh, I, can’t tell you why
Burning fossil fuels warms the Earth,
I care only for increasing my net worth.
A man is measured, by his girth.

I would not be just a nothin’,
My head all full of stuffin’
And neediness and pain.
I wouldn’t be insane, erratic;
I might be quite Democratic
If I only had a brain.

I assume you are familiar with The Parody Project on Facebook.

Just ran across this. Just in case you can't see why I like it so much (other than its politics) it's because it uses Lewis Carroll's The Walrus and the Carpenter from Through The Looking Glass as its basis.

Interesting. Can we derive some allegorical meaning from the way the lyrics also fit "Ghost Riders in the Sky" ?
