This game is going nowhere, so I'll post what I have:

1. FLEAM - a rich dessert made with custard (flan) and cream (and sugar and cinnamon)

Haberdasher's tasty term

2. FLEAM - Scottish: a special gate for livestock, with an attached fenced/gated area to ensure that only one animal at a time will get through

Hab's attempt to direct bull(s)

3 to ream a tobacco pipe using a rotary sander (dremel tool)

4 a variegated grassy weed with runners

5 to go down in flames (social media)

All three were B35's

6. FLEAM Eponym: From Sir William Fleam, a notorious libertine - someone of high birth but low morals

Bob's quite reasonable daffynition

7. FLEAM To remove the covers from books that are to be shipped as ballast.

Another of Bob's

8. To traverse through a tunnel, filled with barriers, as seen in video games.

Kalleh's attempt to game us

9. The seam where an airplane wing attaches to the body of the plane.

10. To write a glowing review.

11. In soldering, a form of flux.

Sattva's three daffys

12. FLEAM The filing angles on the teeth of a saw blade.

The real thing. http://disstonianinstitute.com/glossary.html (Scroll down to "fleam or bevel") It derives from the Greek word for "lance," thus such medical terms as "phebotomy," or lancing a vein.

13. FLEAM A thin pipe, originally a reed, used to draw up small quantities of liquid. cf. pipette.

My daffy.

If it isn’t 8 it should be. Whoever came up with that has nailed perfectly the type of word video gamers invent

I've edited the daffys above to include their authors and the correct one. Some good daffynitions!

Since Kalleh gamed Bob, she's the winnah!

Thanks Geoff, that was a fun game despite lack of voting! I couldn't decide, but would probably have settled on Bob's #6, the libertine.

You are clearly the winner w/an unguessable word-- but I'm claiming spot #2 w/the closest daffynition: "to ream a tobacco pipe using a rotary sander (dremel tool)"

Is the adjectival form of "vape" vapid?
Is one who vapes a vapeur? Despite my abhorrence of nicotine-laden fumes I almost miss tobacco pipes. From a distance some of them smelled pleasant. Also, I think there WAS a special pipe reaming tool!

Addendum: Yes, there IS a special pipe reaming tool. It's called a pipe reamer.
Well, duhhhh.... https://www.amazon.com/Castlef...ativeASIN=B002WR1NIM

Well done, everyone! All very good daffynitions!
