How about us starting a new word game? I suggest perhaps one where a word is posted that has some demonstable connection with the word posted in front. For example, FOOT > STAMP > TIMBRE (French for stamp) > VOICE, and so on. I'd say that there should normally be no need for us to explain the connection, but we can if we want, and if the connection is doubtful others can challenge. Much of the fun might be in thinking of convoluted but valid connections.
Should we limit it in other ways, do you think, perhaps by using only (say) a maximum of five letters? In addition perhaps we should only use whole words: no abbreviations or anagrams. Also, the connection shouldn't be as simple as using the ame first or last letters as the earlier word.
What does everyone think?

Of course I can't speak for "everyone," but just speaking for myself I agree. Post the rules, arnie, and let the game begin.

OK, here goes with the rules:
Words of up to and including five letters only;
whole words only - no abbreviations or acronyms;
each word must connect with the word before somehow;
connections may not be through similar letters;
the more convoluted the connection the better - it is not necessary to explain the connection, but it can be done if wished;
others can challenge the connection (if not given) if they wish. The original poster will then have to explain their thinking.It must be evident to all after explanation.
Remember, the more convoluted the connection the better - within reason! For example, GRASS > SNAKE would be OK, but GRASS > AUNT would not, if the connection was that your Aunt Gladys used to eat grass in the summertime.
