WHY?????

Well in my case it’s because I only have on line friends. Apart from my classes I rarely even get to speak to anyone. That’s why if I go back to England lockdown won’t be any change for me. Just call me "Johnny No Mates".

Lockdown will end; bureaucracy won't, but at least you'll be able to speak English to the bureaucraps.

See, I don't think COVID is ever going away. I think this is life for the foreseeable future and the main reason is the people who flat out refuse to wear masks, take vaccines or take even basic precautions. Thanks to them the virus has plenty of nice warm bodies to mutate in. I think we will all end up having to accept that a couple of million deaths a year worldwide is a price we will have to pay for them to have the "freedom" to be idiots. Gloomy little thing ain't I?

"Warm bodies to mutate in" is the key. Last Friday we had dinner with a physician turned researcher of pathogen vectors who said precisely that. We don't have just one Typhoid Mary but millions of them world-wide.
