Do I not bathe often enough?
Or was it something I said? I seem to be the only participant. What's the reason???

The only participant in what? If you mean in bathing then be glad that you are the only participant. Big Grin Big Grin

I have my rubber duck in the tub with me.

It's hard. Lack of activity begets lack of activity.

For me, our daughter has had COVID so I've been dealing with that. She'll be okay though, thankfully.

Whew! Glad it's not a major case!

It wasn't major, but it was scary. He boyfriend got it as well. Our son is working with COVID-19 patients (as a nurse) and that is scary too. I can't wait until this is over. 2020 has been the longest year in history.

Is anyone planning Thanksgiving with family? It will just be Shu and I. Roll Eyes

Here we go again. Are you two east coasters snowed in with no internet?

Kalleh? Shu? Only Bob seems to pop in and look around.

Got a vaccine appointment for next week.

One small step.

Good to hear! I'm awaiting my second one.
Indiana seems to have done better than most states in coordinating their vaccine effort. Or maybe it helped that T. Rump's VP was from here.

How about the rest of you?

Shu and I got our first one, too! Thank goodness. I was hoping this was coming to an end, and then I read this. Roll Eyes

I've been saying for ages that I think this is here for a long time. I suspect that what will happen is the incidence of new variants will slow down and - in the UK - we will move to a system where the elderly (past retirement age) get an annual free vaccine much as we do currently with flu. Others will be able to get it but will need to pay.

I talked to my son in Oregon last night. He said that Oregon is in chaos regarding vaccinations. People who have had the virus can't return to jobs where they're desperately needed because they test positive.

I wonder if we'll test positive after getting the vaccinations? We will have Covid antibidies, and that's what the tests look for.

NJ is doing pathetically on delivering shots into arms. Probably on delivering doses to state as well. I'm getting paranoid as I hear great reports from WV, FL, now IN. (& that OR is doing badly). Sounds political.

Here we go again. Maybe it's my bad breath. Bethree, you ignored the last limerick and the current bluffing game. And where is everyone else? Most of us are isolated by the plague, and many are snowbound, so I'd think fooling about on a computer would be desirable. Maybe elsewhere?

Gotta be careful about that. There are two tests - one for the virus ("PCR tests") looking for current virus particles (i.e. infection, with or without symptoms), and the other for antibodies, evidence of your body's reaction to a previous exposure to the virus. Mostly we're hearing about the first kind.

My daughter had COVID-19, and she had the second kind. Sure enough, she has a healthy amount of antibodies.

Sorry for the absence - computer problems, still getting unravelled... new machine, difficulties migrating, all that good stuff...

Second shot this afternoon. Yippee!

Good! Now I can read your messages mask-free! I've had both of mine for two weeks.

Glad you're getting your new fidgetal confuser sorted!

Congrats, Hab and Geoff! Shu and I have had ours, too. Maybe, just maybe, this nightmare will end.
