You may not have heard but Mad Boris has suggested that everyone in England should donate a bit of money to enable Big Ben (which is currently being renovated) to ring out at Midnight on the 31st of January to mark the start of our bold new era.

What comes to my mind is "Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee."

Wow, I forgot that deadline is coming up so quickly, though the deadline seems like a moving target. I found a timeline on this site that explains it better than I've seen.
