I do. It's what happens you mix a cocktail of people who don't understand that rights come as a package with responsibilities and think that their personal rights about anything as trivial as wearing a mask are more important than their responsibility not to endanger other people. Add in a dash of paranoia, two drops of conspiracy theory and a splash partisanship and you have a lovely cocktail that will ensure that we never get rid of this virus. I have reluctantly come round to the extremely controversial view that the only way this is ever going away is to make vaccination mandatory. Trouble is it would probably for America and the Uk lead to revolution. This message has been edited. Last edited by: BobHale,

Don't worry. It will be. In the Uk and America (and others, let's not be too jingoistic) there is just about the perfect ratio of vaccinated to unvaccinated for the virus to develop a vaccine resistant strain that has both a high transmission rate and a high fatality rate. It's coming sooner or later while there remain so many unvaccinated people. I do in my gloomier moments wonder what the fatality rate will have to be before the same people who are now crying "fascist dictatorship" when asked to wear masks will start screaming that the Government should have done more before it got so bad. Well, the ones who aren't dead by then of course.)
Its fascinating in a morbid kind of way to watch so many people bent on destroying the world in the name of "freedom". I just wish I was watching from the outside.
