I read this in a paper today and had to chuckle a bit at the use of the word:
From these studies, NCSBN in conglomeration with the Metrics and Outcomes Committee, developed the Approval Guidelines.

BobHaleI agree. I don't think that's an appropriate use of the word. Conjunction would have been much better. I suppose they have made the "more syllables looks more intelligent" error.
