Cryptic Clues
As both CJ and RE say they're no good at cryptic crossword clues and I'm generally OK (I've never finsihed the Times crossword but sometimes manage the Telegraph) let's try a new game.
The rules are trivially simple.
Solve the posted clue, post the answer and a new clue. The clue should include the number of letters in the answer and can, if you like include some already filled in letters just like in a real crossword.
I'll start with an easy one.
1. Shook tea shop pro for missing letters. (10)
---S-----E
Purgamentum init, exit purgamentum

APOSTROPHEI must admit, I'm not so wonderful at anagrams, and actually got out the scrabble tiles to help with this one. Of course once I actually got it, I then smacked myself around the head for being so obtuse. It's so obvious once you get it.
I love cryptics, although I suspect that the ones I regularly do are fairly simple ones.
Anyway, here's the new clue. Again fairly simple, so no letters to help.
Discussed a case. See a wattle tree (6)

BobHaleIf the answer's ACACIA it might be easy to you but it isn't to me. Then again you are in the country where Wattle Trees grow (the dictionary says "any of various chiefly Australian acacia trees".
If I were doing a crossword I'd fill that in in pencil until I got some other letters to confirm it.
phonograph
3. Old player calling up a chart? (10)
P------A--
Purgamentum init, exit purgamentum
