KallehJiggery-Pokery
I think we need to invite Supreme Court Justice Scalia to Wordcraft. He can write double dactyls with us, with his use of the word
jiggery-pokery in his dissent of the recent Affordable Healthcare Act decision. He has inspired this:
Higgledy Piggledy
"Jiggery-Pokery":
That's what Scalia told
The Supreme Court.
"Funding of healthcare should
Not be from feds" he said.
Antagonistically,
Colleagues retort!
Ah, well. Other Americans will do better, I know. It's late and I am tired.

KallehI also liked his "pure applesauce," calling it SCOTUScare (Supreme Court of the United States) and "...the somersaults of statutory interpretation..."
Yes, he belongs on WC. I liked this
cartoon. This is an article about his
colorful decisions.I almost never agree with him, but you gotta love his writing.

KallehNothing like talking to myself...
Here's a link to an interview with Scalia. Note his comment that "Words have meaning. And their meaning doesn't change." Really? Has he heard about the word "gay" (probably not!)? or "moot?"
[Hat tip to Zmj on his Facebook]
This interview gave me an idea:
Higgledy Piggledy
"Jiggery-Pokery":
That's what Scalia told
The Supreme Court.
"Healthcare just shouldn't be
Federally funded;" an
Ultraconservative,
Words he does thwart.

KallehHere's another
take on Scalia. This law professor thinks he is a bad influence on fledgling lawyers. I hadn't thought of that, but he may be right. Scalia is a bit funny and I can see how students and new lawyers might want to mimic his style.

KallehHere's another DD:
Higgledy Piggledy
Trump for the President
Really's astounding and
Quite a good dare!
Neoconservative:
"Get rid of immigrants;"
"Say what you want to;" but
Don't mention hair!
You all must think we are crazy here in the U.S.

KallehHey, that was not a bad DD at all, if I do say so myself.

Who would have thought that even now, in February, Trump would be in first place with the Republicans?
Anyway, our conservative Supreme Court justice, Antonin Scalia, who was the subject of this thread, died yesterday. I didn't agree with most of his decisions, but I liked his flair with language.
