KallehA poem a week
Shu had a wonderful idea to send our little granddaughter's father a poem a week to read to her. Shu, being Shu, has chosen some rare, but wonderful, ones. I am urging him to make a booklet of them for her to keep (right now he is only sending them via email). I'll try to post them for all of you, unless I can get him to.
Any suggestions from any of you would be happily considered. Shu is not choosing just kid poems; for example, one is from Lysistrata.

GeoffNo poetry comes to mind, but here's a book I'd recommend:

KallehIt was just a part out of Lysistrata and being viewed as a feminist poem.

GeoffAlthough written as a comedy, it's quite easy to view it today as a feminist comedy. Perhaps some enterprising playwright will tweak it enough to do it as just that.
Lear's stiff might fit Shufitz' criterion.

KallehOf course my favorites are AA Milne's, but Shu is getting much more rare than that.
