Rose, we'll help if you have questions, and we are very laid back about it. Basically you post a word. People will send you PMs (KHC will need an e-mail address) with the daffynition. You give them about 5 days to send these to you (a reminder may be in order for the procrastinators!), and then you post the real definition and source (not revealing it), along with all the daffynitions. People will post their choices, and again you give them a couple of days for that. Then...you end the game, identifying the true definition, as well as who guessed what and who posted the various daffynitions.

We haven't been keeping score lately (we used to), but Jo and arnie seem to be our big winners. However, it has been lots of fun! Your fellow Oregano came up with this idea months ago, and we have been going strong ever since!

Hey, you've played this game at my house, Kalleh, and have seen intelligent, mature people become total raving loonies! As for Rose's being an Oregano, well, she DOES seem pretty spicy! (Check out her blog!)

4. A smooth, hard, flat surface used by glass blowers for shaping glass.

5. To rustle, expecially when women rustle their skirts.

6. (jocular) A matricide; one who kills his mother; formed from mother-carver.

7. A deep-sea diver employed by fishing boats to locate schools of fish.

8. A large marble used by children in playing competitive marble games, its advantage due to its size.

9. Colloquial, generally disparaging, a tall, gangling, often clumsy person, derived from Marfan's Syndrome.

I didn't provide a definition but it sounds like an eight to me.

I like 6. That would make Norman Bates a marver. But I don't think that's the right definition, so I'll choose 1.

Just to be crotchety, I'll choose 3.

I imagine that the correct definition is 4, though.

As much as it irks me to agree with so many, I'll choose 4 this time.
