Oh how embarrassing! I mispelled linguistic. Please forgive! It looks nice with the Y, though, don't you think?

Perhaps I should also add luscious and lissome . . . or just one - obviously I'm better with words than with counting.

Caterwauller, we try to be very forgiving on this board. Now...is there another set of letters? I haven't played this game in awhile. Jerry, are we doing the same 5 letters of the alphabet now?

I thought we were still doing the "Six Letters" (making a sentence with six words, each of whose initials is the same as all the others in the set of six) and that we still have the following seven to go. I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Big Grin

I, J, Q, R, U, V, X.

Thanks, Jerry! I'm so proud! So happy! Actually, I think the award should more rightfully go to you or Jo, tackling the hardest letters of Q and X!

As to wrapping, I generally prefer plain brown, as it is more likely to contain something juicy (as in contraband)!

You know, I have to apologize; I never meant to hijack the thread like this.

Fortunately, the alphabet has only 26 letters, making it a self-limited digression.

Now that we've used them all up, my expectations to the contrary notwithstanding, I propose it's time to get back to basics: the six-letter-sequence-based phrase. What say ye?

I know I'm being extremely dense, but can someone tell me the rules of this game? How do you come up with the next 6 letters to use?

The rules are hidden somewhere in the murky depths of the site's database, but you'd have to drill down so far you'd probably hit China first.

Basically, you need to come up with a six-word phrase with each word starting with the six letters posted by the previous competitor. The phrase should make some sort of sense, being not just a random sequence of words, but as you will have probably noticed, they tend to be surreal, to put it mildly.

The next six letters can then be chosen by any means the poster wishes. Most people tend to post a word, or a shortened form of a word, which follows on from their own or a previous post. It can sometimes be fun to work out the tortuous logic linking the words. There is no obligation to do this, however; any combination of six letters can be chosen.
