Euphemistic job-titles

shufitzEuphemistic job-titles
Perhaps you've heard of the euphemism "sanitary engineer," meaning [i]garbageman". Here are some the submissions to a newspaper contest asking readers to come up with fancy job titles. (In each case the ordinary name follows in white type, invisible until you paint over it with your cursor.)
What can we come up with?
Congnition challenger, emotional chiropractor, attitude adjuster =
psychotherapistCommodities relocation expert =
truck driverCanine relocation specialist =
dogcatcherIndependent collection agent =
panhandlerPetroleum transfer engineer =
gas station attendantWealth redistribution effector = burglar (or perhaps income tax collector)

Chris J. StrolinOK, maybe it's been explained elsewhere before but how to you go about producing that little special effect?
test, testWriting in white ink would only seem to work 50% of the time, if that...

KallehCJ, you just write with white ink, and then shade it to read it....not sure what you mean about 50% of the time.
Arnie, yours is very similar to my favorite in that article Shufitz cited:
A freelance monetary transfer specialist - bank robber

BobHaleCJ is wondering (as am I) about the way thayt alternate posts have backgronds of white and grey. White Ink shows up on the grey ones and grey ink shows up on the white ones. His test post for example clearly shows the words "
test test" in white against the grey background.)

KallehAhhhh....I see! Is gray ink not seen on the gray background?
May 19, 2004, 11:12
BobHale testAs you can see it's not the same grey.
Besides how do you know when you post whether you will get grey or white as the background ?

KallehIsn't every other background gray or white? In other words, this background will be white.
Interesting how you spell it "grey" and I spell it "gray."

Yes. But there are two problems with that. One is that if a post is deleted or someone else posts while you are composing your words then you end up on the opposite colour to the one you intended. The other is that you can't post invisibly on the grey ones because that colour ink isn't available.

I think that some members with older browsers may not see the alternate grey/white backgrounds to the posts. Whilst I can see them from home, I am at work using MS Internet Explorer 5.5 and all the backgrounds appear white.

Chris J. StrolinAll of which seems to prove that the ability to "hide" text has nothing to do with ink color. The question remains, however, how does one accomplish the "special effects" razzmatazz used in the first posts of this thread??
