BobHaleWow! An eight way tie with no votes each.

Greg SThere is one vote now (not mine), but how did No. 3 get a vote? Firstly Lines 1 & 2 are homophones not rhymes, but more importantly the place name is not Kin
Sa
SHa, it is Kin
SHa
Sa??

Fixing the spelling would seem to dispose of both of your problems.

Not really, because then neither "SaSHa" nor "smaSH a" would rhyme with the place name "KinshaSa".

Greg SI just voted and like 3 others, I voted for #6, so with 4 of the 6 votes cast, that's game over I reckon.

You voted for #8, honey

Greg SSure did. Just my totally useless typing skills, and with 40 years in the IT industry you'd think I'd be better than that, wouldn't you?

GeoffWho won, Bob? Not me; I wrote #4. I hope the next one will be easier, like "Vladivostok" or maybe one of these:

BobHaleLimericks with the authors... the winner was bethree5... I still say that if we had more Brit contributors then the rhyming is a breeze... you Americans and your rhotic pronunciation make everything difficult.
Over to you bethree5
1. Kalleh
I danced with a gal in Kinshasa
We waltzed and we practiced the cha-cha.
Her beauty and grace
Just made my heart race...
But she snickered at me and laughed, "Ha ha!"
2Greg S
Though she hated her really big ass, a
Friend showed her how it had class, a
Few photos of Kimmy
Soon made her shimmy
And walk tall when out in Kinshasa.
3. Proofreader\Farewell to my good buddy Sasha
Who fell in a street in Kinsasha.
She tried hard once to stand
But as if it were planned
A steam roller passing did smash a.
4. Geoff
No, never go into Kinshasa
If you desire a kielbasa
There's pilipili, fu fu too
Hot pepper dishes; chicken stew
Kielbasa's more likely in Lhasa
5. sattva
Far he travelled from Kinshasa
In Tibet with Benincasa.
He met a lama
And gave up drama
For the monk who lived in Llasa!
6. sattva
I’ve never been to Kinasha
Or turned the prayer wheels in Llasa.
My health’s not up to par
but this mind travels far,---
The world wide web to su casa.
7. Greg S
Sadly it is quite a farce, a
Case where they surely should pass a
Robin Hood law
So the rich help the poor
And wipe out the slums in Kinshasa.
8. bethree5
There once was a man from Kinshasa
Who sported a king-size kielbasa
That's Polish of course
For hung like a horse
The locals say, "Needs big nkasa."*
*nkasa = lingala for "leaf"

bethree5I knew I had a winner when I found a rhyme that worked in the local lingo. You would think there would be plenty, but only that one (nkasa) in the 100 common words list. And as rhymezoners already know, there's only one true rhyme in English (kielbasa).
Personally I usually vote for the one that makes me giggle, & that was Kalleh's, tho Proof's a strong runner-up (but no rhyme). Greg's great rhyme & meter, but-- sad!
So glad I won, cuz I've been playing w/ this next fun location.
