The next word is
CANITIES. As usual, send me a PM with daffynitions.

<Asa Lovejoy>Maybe we who've already done so should submit additinal ones? It took a while for the usual suspects to submit daffynitions for the last round.

arnieHere are the daffynitions for
CANITIES:
- n. A rare skin condition which causes the skin to blister immediately upon exposure to ultraviolet. Unlike albinoism, which results of a lack of pigment, canities is a genetic mutation of the pigment, which leaves the skin susceptible to all forms of ultraviolet, including but not limited to sunlight.
- A coprolite formed from the excreta of any of the early dog-like mammals.
- The diminishing of pigment in hair producing a range of colors from normal to white that is perceived as gray.
- Seed bead earrings that are enhanced with Swarovski crystals, usually with silver or gold filled trim beads and earwires.
- The offspring of two animals or plants of different races, varieties, or species; anything of mixed origin.
- The nine stars whose collective shape forms a minor constellation (a rampant dog) that is obscured in late August by the Pleaides.
- Stalactite-shaped holes formed when magma cools in shallow water.
- small remembrances having to do with a simpler life
Take your pick!
Build a man a fire and he's warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life.

<Asa Lovejoy>Hmmmm.... One and three bear some resemblance, as do two and seven. I like six, but that would just be Canis Minor. Ohhhh, what to do, what to do...!
Fossilized celestial dog poop that blisters under ultraviolet light? Oh, heck, I'll guess 7.
July 29, 2005, 01:42
tinmanI'll pick 4.

The worst of it is that Mike would be
great on this board. He has a wealth of knowledge, especially in history (he pointed me to several good books) and biology. Maybe after our wordcraft get-together he just won't be able to stay unconnected.
