I know I've seen it before, perhaps in its noun form. It looks as though it's trying to be "tersigiverate" (noun -ation) but it might have the t or the g or the s or the v switched, or some other combination, or something like that. And anyway I think it needs one more i than is in "straite verge."

And I haven't the foggiest recollection what it means...!

Edit: cheated, looked it up. It's tergiversate
