Great Barugh
As I have been declared as a kind of de facto limerick game winner here is my choice for a new location.
I have chosen it to give you a chance at creative spelling.

Great Barugh which is in North Yorkshire is pronounced as Great Barf. As in the American word for vomit.

"No man but a blockhead ever wrote except for money." Samuel Johnson.

Hee hee hee. But darn, best potential rhyme already captured in place-name!

A great name, but I'm at a loss to find a rhyme for it.

How about "Arf!" Little Orphan Annie's dog said it a lot...

Entries are very sparse at the moment. Here’s one of mine for a little encouragement.

In a cage in a zoo in Great Barugh
Was the last of the the Alpine Girarugh
Who while climbing each peak
In his youth used to seek
Some warmth in a hand-knitted scarugh.

I have submitted one. Not good, but it adds to the tally. I doubt I'll think of another.

Only limericks from two people still.

Here's another of my own to encourage you in streching the rhyme.

As he showed me the strange photgrarugh
He emitted a short hollow larugh
"It's a shot of the worta
Where sadly I sorta
Barughed in the barugh in Great Barugh.

Yeah, the accents help this one. I'll try, but I'm with Geoff - there isn't much. I imagine some of us will have the same ones. But that's fine too.

I'm in.

Is it OK if someone wants to write about Little Barugh instead?

Sure. Why not. I wouldn’t belittle your efforts.

Wasn't his name pronounced "Bar-ook?" In Hebrew, does that mean "son of Ook? Confused

Well personally I loved this one, Bob. I'll try to come up with another, inspired by your examples.

I have another that I wrote but as the rhyme was inspired by a submitted limerick I'll hold fire until they have all been posted and the voting is in.

Speaking of which... I still don't have many but I will post what I have on Friday.
