Thanks for that Richard. I did wonder. I also wondered if buff is used in the USA in that sense, but when I checked the COED I found that it originated in New York. Smile

Thanks, Asa and Kalleh! Big Grin Big Grin To be honest I didn't expect to win - no-one here would ever rhyme Corolla with holler, I just assumed some kind of American accent might work. The double-banger name was a challenge all right.

I agree with Bob - great limerick, Asa! I like the way you used the place name.

Bob and Stella, thanks for the positive statements, but I find it excruciating trying to find words that make sense in a formulaic pattern, as in the AA-BB-A pattern of limericks.
So, you can have more out of me, but I'll have to move out of Plasticwood and into the State Hospital for the Incurably Strange.

I've just heard back from the State Hospital for the Incurably Strange. They say they don't have room for you. They suggested that you try the White House instead.

They need limericks? Do you write yours at Ten Downing Street then? Big Grin

There are writers of note with Obama
And they can fill his speeches with drama.
But the Prez won't wtite hymns
He prefers writing lims
'Xcept they all seem to start with "Yo mama."

S-T-E-L-L-A...we're waiting... (not to be a nudge or anything Wink).

I've got my WPSI ready. Shu thinks it's a winner, but then he is a little biased, isn't he?
