Limerick Game: St. Joe
St. Joe is a small town in northeastern Indiana. It is named for and located on the St. Joseph River. What St. Joe is most known for is, drum roll, pickles! Sechler's Pickles has 54 varieties of pickles, relishes, and salsas. If you visit their store and factory, you will learn that many famous people have ordered their pickles. It is easy to understand why. I think they make the best pickles in the world. I might have to order some now. LOL

PM me with your limericks. Thanks!

Can't be too careful. Big Grin See this quote from another recent game...

quote:
the English can get "maudlin" out of "Magdalan", "chummly" out of "Cholmondely" (which I may have spelled wrong) and "fanshaw" out of "Featherstonehaugh".

Not to mention getting "Sinjin" out of "St. John".

Didn't realize a new game ad started. I'll work on one but "Joe" is a difficult rhyme.

Unless anyone has any objections, I think by Thursday I can put the limericks up for your votes. So, anyone that is still working on one, you still have a few more days for a last minute surge of inspiration! Maybe, you will all bombard me with more great limericks!

TWO MORE DAYS TO GET YOUR LAST MINUTE LIMERICKS COMPLETED

I think you will find that some are really good, some really funny, and some that combine both!

Just a note:
I sent everyone who entered limericks a private message making sure I had everything each person sent me. It is getting down to the wire and I don't want to forget any. There is still one day if anyone wants to add to what we have. It might be difficult to choose a winner! There are so many good ones!If we get a few more in, hint, hint, we could end up with 20. So, put on those thinking caps and have some more fun!

I am still thinking, but will get it to you tomorrow. Twenty? That would be a record! Sattva, you might get the gold medal. Wink

I need a couple more to make 20. Well, three I think. So, whether good or bad, let's try to get the record. I challenge you to work on a limerick with someone else!

HELP!
I think I need instructions on setting up the poll. Are there any instructions anywhere?
Thanks!

It's quite easy really, though it can be a bit fiddly. The way I do it is to copy all of the limericks into a word document and number them.

The Click on New, Poll and Wordplay

Put the title in

Cut and paste your whole word document as the body of the post.

Put "Choose your answer" as the question and in the answers just put1,2,3,etc (You will nbeed to click "Add Option enough times to give you lines for every one.

Then just click Post Now

Thanks Bob! Just one last question if anyone is around to answer it. At the bottom of the page it says Notification off. Should that be changed and can be changed? Thanks again!

That appears at the foot of every "post" window. If you turn notifications on you can choose to get advised by email when later posts are made in the thread.
