KallehHere are the daffynitions, along with the one real definition. These are wonderful daffynitions!

Choose your definition, and I will post the answer on Wednesday or so.
1. To smoke or cure either meat or fish.
2. The burrow of a hedgehog.
3. (Irish) small thread ends left hanging loose on the back of intricately-knitted garments, particulary the Aran sweater.
4. The smell of spoiled or rotting meat.
5. n, the platform that a gargoyle rests upon.
6. The accumulation of calcite crystals on the interior walls and ceiling of the chambers in caves.
7. From Dutch, a heavy woven mat used as an earth stabilizer on a wall or dike.
8. A mixture of barley flour, molasses, and yeast allowed to form a sponge and then used as a base for bread. Not unlike sourdough, the fermentation of the reest adds a distinctive tang.
9. A layer of slate mixed in with a seam of coal in a mine, making the coal harder to work.

<Asa Lovejoy>I think it's smoke curing a rotten hedgehog that's wearing a sweater while sitting on a gargoyle's perch that's made of calcite. What? You say, "Nein!" OK, I'll pick 9.
I'll pick
7... a little Dutch ancestry, and absolutely no knowledge of the language.

KallehHere are the your daffynitions, and the one definition. I have found that we have such brilliant people on this site that, except for one or two times, we just aren't able to fool
everyone with these words. Therefore, my goal always is to fool Arnie. As you can see, once again, I have lost!

Beans, would you please be our next wordmeister? It is really easy. Just post the word, and people will send you daffynitions. Give everyone about 5 days or so. Then post the daffynitions with the real definition and let people start guessing. Again allow a few days and post the answers. We'd love to hear from a newbie! Thanks!
