Why can't singers...

Why can't singers...
...pronounce the word "miracle" correctly? I can't think of a single song that I have ever heard (including the one I just heard that brought it to mind) where the singer doesn't sing "mi-rick-le".

The right way. Smile There is no letter I in the middle. The sound is a schwa

I remember asking you to pronounce "fire" when I first met you - it sounded like 2 syllables to me...
