Synecdoche, New York
For a minute, my heart was gladdened.
A movie called "Synecdoche"? Can it be that grammar and rhetoric will take it's place in the consciousness of American Culture? (An oxymoron if ever there was one!)

It sounds fairly interesting (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383028/plotsummary)
but I think my elation will be short-lived.

Still, it was a Brief and Shining Moment...

Charlie Kaufman wrote some good movies: Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Being John Malkovich. I'm glad to see he's getting a chance to direct. He's a writerly author.

Ceci n'est pas un seing.

What a great descriptor. I haven't heard it used before.
