Disney redux
I think, no I hope, that the presenter on TV this morning was trying to be funny when he remarked that the new live action version of Peter Pan "stays true to the Disney original".

Why should I let the toad work
Squat on my life ?
Can't I use my wit as a pitchfork
And drive the brute off ?

...they did the same thing to Winnie-the Pooh thirty years ago.

I should have some kind of warm and fuzzy feelings for Walt Disney because he went to school with my father-in-law. However, Winnie the Pooh is one of my favorites, and I just can't believe he has taken credit for it. Now Peter Pan?! I love Peter Pan, too. As posted in another thread, I love the part where Smee says of the crocodile following Captain Hook around, "In a way, it's sort of a compliment." Around our house, we use that phrase a lot!
