I judged a speech competition last week. Eleven schools were competing. There were three foreign judges and four Chinese. The four Chinese judges looked at us very sharply when we three western judges burst out laughing while one of the juniors was telling us the tale of Goldilocks and the three bears.

Well wouldn't you laugh to hear "Then Baby Bear said 'Mother, there's a dirty girl in my bed'" ?

Hilarious! Is the word for "little" close to the word for "dirty?"

I suspect he meant naughty... though I don't think that would have been very much better.
