There is a bit of a fuss being made over here about labour politicians not following the rules for declaring political donations. The latest to have allegedly failed to declare something is Alan Johnson.
I wonder if he was deliberately choosing his words with care in the interview I heard.
He said "Everything we have done has been required by the regulations" rather than "We have done everything required by the regulations."

KallehInteresting point, Bob. Whether it was intentional or not, there is a big difference in those sentences.
