Commatose (again)
Came across this post on the discussion board of the French/Spanish/English/Italian dictionary site WordReference.com. Submitted by a native Spanish speaker:

Field and topic:
Does anyone know how to translate the term ¨button toddler¨?? It has to do with clothing for kids..
thanks in advance-
---------------------
Sample sentence:
¨Cute as a button toddler girls love to dress up in comfy tops and bottoms or twirl the day away in do-a-dance™ dresses.¨

I think "cute as a button" was used as an adjective describing toddler girls. It seems to be taken from this ad. Hit the "en español" button for a translation.

The phrase "cute as a button" used as an adjective should have been written "cute-as-a-button."

Good point, tinman! My entry should have gone under "de-hyphenization"!
