KallehThis is true...
Sometimes I love these "This is True" stories. However, this one that took place in West Sussex, England (don't we know someone from very near there?

) takes the cake...or I should say beer!
quote:
ILLUMINATED: It was all captured on a security camera in front of a pub
in Crawley, West Sussex, England: one man threw bricks through the
glass door to make a hole, and the second man tossed a lit firebomb
into the hole. But the second man missed, and the bomb bounced right
back, landing right where the first man was crouching, and exploded
into a fireball. Neither man received significant injury, and once they
recovered from the shock they turned and ran -- and the first man ran
straight into a light pole, knocking him to the ground. When he went to
a clinic for treatment for his injuries, police made the collar.
Despite the video evidence, Amir Ali, 28, denied being involved, but
was convicted. Police still don't know who the other man is. (RC/London
Telegraph) ...Surely there's a lamp post out there with his name on it.

GeoffAnyone who is not familiar with the "This Is True" website should check it out. Randy Cassingham collects some doozies!

<Proofreader>Some people are truly stupid. The other night I saw a clip featuring guys in a samdunk competition. The first ones were truly athletic, performing twirls and gyrations before slamming the ball into the net. But the last guy lacked those skills and settled for slamming the ball, hanging on the net, and then swinging his legs around and up into the net. Too bad he couldn't solve the problem of how to get them back out.

KallehOh, my gosh. I am such a dufus sometimes! I was going all over the Internet to find out "samdunk" is. Of course it was only a typo! Wouldn't you think I could have figured that out first thing?
I really don't belong here with all of you logophiles!
