Yes, as it says, it is quite "objective" and "academic." Roll Eyes

I've often wondered how etymology.com gets away with copying the OED so much. Sometimes it's just word for word.

I wish he would cite sources for each entry, since not all sources are equal.

Agreed. The problem is, because he is usually correct (since much of it is based on the OED), people tend to take it for the gospel truth.
