KallehCell Manners
Laura Washington in the Chicago Sun Times referred to a Web site about
cell manners. Here are a couple of true stories from that site.
1) Laurence Fishburne was onstage on Broadway when an audience member's phone rang 4 times. The ringing stopped, and Fishburne continued. However, it happened again. Fishburne yelled, "Are you going to turn that ......thing off?" He received a standing ovation.
2) At a funeral a person's phone rang. Not only did the attendee answer it, but she had a conversation!
The Web site is fun to surf; one of the terms it defines:
Cell Wars - "a social upheaval occurring in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century resulting from the introduction of the cell phone without an accompanying set of manners."
