GeoffTheme music
This has little to do with words, but I don't know where else to turn! While listening to Mussorgsky's
Pictures At An Exhibition it occurred to me that the "Promenade" from it was used as the theme music for a very early American TV news or general interest show, but I can't find anything on the web. It might have been "Omnibus," or maybe "Eyewitness to History," but I doubt those old shows were recorded. Anybody have an idea?

bethree5The only thing I could find was that an arragement of the Promendade was the theme music for a British sitcom of the late '80's/early '90's called 'The New Statesman', which satirized the conservative government. Could that be it?

GeoffNo, it was a US production. Thanks for trying.

<Proofreader>Sounds like the NBC news theme from many years back, but I could be mistaken (I often am).
