What does "SKU" mean? It's on all sorts of merchandise these days, and seems to have something to do with the barcoded prices, but what?

Acronym which stands for stock keeping unit. See entry at Wikipedia for more info. Usually pronounced /skju/ to rhyme with due /dju/.
