Come up trumps
I came across the phrase "come up trumps" the other day, which is an English proverb meaning "to complete something successfully, especially when it wasn't expected." Is it used in England? As far as I know, it isn't used in the U.S. Or is it?

Not sure I get your comment, Geoff.
