Red velvet cake
I love red velvet cake, and red velvet cupcakes are quite popular here in the states. I was wondering where the name came from, and found this. It seems plausible, but I wondered if anyone knows anything more,

I'd say the author made his point. I just didn't catch it. Wink I should have read more carefully.

I'd love to know why it's called red velvet cake then.
