Cartoonanize
Simon (my son) used this word when asking if a particular story had been done in cartoon form. "Has that story ever been cartoonanized."

Is there such a word? Don't you think there should be?

According to my dictionary the word 'cartoon' can be used as a verb, so refers to the process of creating a cartoon anyway. Having said that, I frankly think Simon's word makes more sense so I would support a change.

I thought the word for this verb was to animate. Wink

But not all cartoons are animated.

And, as I have suggested previously, in English there are no nouns that cannot be verbed!

I'd probably use cartoonise in preference to cartoonanise (or -ize).

How very open-minded and spontaneous of you!
