Is it good construction, is there a better way to say:

"I'll write a brief paper. If you intercalate your own brilliant questions and ripostes, we'll have a fair start at an article..."

"Let's cooperate in producing a written article."

Well done, Jerry. I'd just add:

"I'll do the first draft."

"We will now practice plagiarism by committee...."

"I'll write a brief paper. If you let me have your own contribution, we should be well on the way"
I doubt that anyone will need to intercalate anything into an article - a calendar, maybe
