KallehFilker
Somebody told me that he was a "filker," and, sad to say, I had to look it up. Here is what I found about it in
Wikipedia. It's interesting that it became a word because of a typo where they used "filk music" for "folk music" in a never-published essay on the influence of Science Fiction and Fantasy on folk music.
What do you know about "filkers"?

Why "sad to say".
It sounds like the kind of obscure minority terminology that
geeks like to apply to themselves to raise their geekdom to new heights.
(With apologies to all current geeks, speaking as an ex-geek myself.)

Kalleh Why "sad to say".Well, I just
hate it when I don't know a word and have to look it up!
I, too, wonder the relationship to science fiction, Asa.
