Band row
A new one on me, it's an exercise where you loop the band around a stationary object, stretching both ends from the middle as if rowing. Can anyone suggest how long the term has been in use--Thanks all

Interesting phrase. I couldn't find it in the OED or Onelook, and I hadn't heard of it. There are only "1 - 100 of about 980" sites for it on Google, but I see that it's used especially in physical therapy or workouts; in fact, I have used one of those elastic tubings in my aerobics classes.

k: Thank you

I have found that one drawback of OneLook is that it doesn't like expressions w multiple words

Do I gather from the jist of your threads that you're a teacher of some sort

Dale, yes, I have been a nursing professor for a number of years, and I now advise nursing regulators about education issues.
