Remember my colleague from China? Well, I got a short email from her, asking, "What does the word "Ellucian" (she capitalized it) mean?" I looked it up and it's no where, not even in Google. I am wondering if she meant ellution? Has anyone heard it before?

It's a trademark for an educational technology company. Probably just intended as an important sounding "word".
I'd guess that it was contrived, by some marketing analyst, from "elucidate" +ian to sound as if it means "someone who makes things clear".

I did see from Google that it was a company, but I had no idea she might have meant that. You could be right, though. By the way, elucidate is a favorite word of mine. We talked about it very early on here at WC.

z, I love the word Elysian! I'll ask her.
