When I was in elementary school, there was a category on our report cards for deportment, or behavior (being a goody two shoes, I always got an A). Now, I never see deportment being used, but I do hear about comportment. How are they different? Or are they?

I'd always thought of comportment is interaction with others, not as solo action.

So, if I misbehave in school, it's bad deportment, but if I argue with my classmates it is bad comportment.
